Equipment Evaluation Committee

Based on the

「Standard Regulations for Management of National Research Facilities and Equipment」

Function

▶ Review all research equipment to be built for the research institution support project with economic value above 30 million KRW at the time of government R&D budgeting and execution

- The decision of whether equipment with economic value between 30 million KRW ~ 100 million KRW will be built for the current year's research institution support project lies with the Equipment Evaluation Committee at the time of the government R&D budgeting and execution

- In principle, any research equipment that is to be built using the research institution support project budget of the following year, with an economic value of over 100 million KRW, shall be evaluated by the Equipment Evaluation Committee before the deadline for submitting budget requests for government R&D budget allocation, and should be raised for review by the Research Equipment Budget Evaluation Committee

※ As of 2012, any research equipment with an economic value over 100 million KRW must first be evaluated by the Equipment Evaluation Committee and submitted to the Research Equipment Budget Evaluation Committee for deliberation

▶ Any research equipment that is to be built for a project entrusted by a department (e.g., pure research development projects and, facilities andㆍequipment building projects) with an economic value above 100 million KRW must be evaluated by the Equipment Evaluation Committee in case a request is made by the department (Research Equipment Introduction Evaluation Board)
