서울대의 글로벌 연구·교류 허브화와 신진연구인력 역량 강화를 위한 신규 국제공동연구 지원사업 「전략적 국제 연구·교류 허브 구축」을 아래와 같이 시행하오니, 각 기관에서는 소속 교원이 신청할 수 있도록 안내하여 주시기 바랍니다. (※ 사전 공고 대비, 신청 기한 및 제출 서류(신청서식)이 추가되었고, "참여 연구자 전원(해외 포함)이 참여하는 국제공동워크숍 개최" 요건 등 일부 내용 명확화(사업 내용상 중대한 변경사항 없음))

  1. 연구 형태: 국제공동연구(신진 연구자가 참여하는 국제공동연구 네트워크 구축)

  2. 지원 분야: 국제 연구협력을 통해 첨단 국가전략기술 확보 및 인류난제 해결에 기여할 수 있는 분야(이공·의학계열은 12대 국가전략기술 연계 시 우대)

  3. 지원 기간: 최대 3년(1+1+1년, 단계평가형)

  4. 지원 규모(안): 8개 과제 내외, 과제당 연 176백만원 이내

  5. 지원 내용: 국제공동연구 Seed Funding, Mobility Funding, 국제 워크숍 행사비 등 공동연구 네트워크 구축을 위한 활동 경비

  6. 지원 조건 및 고려사항

    - (연구책임자) 본교 재직 중인 전임, 기금, HK교원, (신진연구인력) 본교 소속 2명 이상, (해외연구자) 본교 신진연구인력과 공동연구를 수행할 해외 연구자 2명 이상

    - 연구 개시 후 6개월 이내에,
① 본교 신진연구인력이 주도하는 국제공동연구팀을 2개 이상 구성하고, 시니어 교수급 멘토 배정
② 참여 연구자 전원(해외 포함)이 참여하는 국제공동워크숍 개최(연구팀 구성 결과 공유회 및 최소 3개 이상의 학술 발표 세션 포함)

      ※ 요건 미달성 시 연구 중단 및 연구비 회수 조치

    - 본교 소속 신진연구인력은 역량 강화를 위한 교육훈련 1회 이상 참여 필수

  7. 신청 기한 및 방법: 2025. 10. 31.(금)까지, 연구책임자가 제출 서류를 소속 단과대학(원)에 제출 ⇒ 소속 단과대학(원)에서 연구정책과로 공문 제출

Seoul National University Office of Research Affairs (SNU ORA) is pleased to launch a new international collaborative research support program, titled Strategic Hub for International Research Collaboration.

This initiative aims to position SNU as a global research hub by:

• Fostering international collaborations in cutting-edge, convergent fields
• Empowering early-career researchers to take leadership roles in global research activities
• Building sustainable international research networks

The program adopts a three-year, milestone-based structure (1+1+1 years). Projects must pass an annual review to continue, focusing on:

• Year 1: Planning
• Year 2: Execution
• Year 3: Outcomes & Scalability

 

Key Features for 2025 Call

• Research Focus: International collaborative projects led by or actively involving early-career researchers, with an emphasis on building a global research network.
• Target Fields: Research contributing to Korea’s national strategic technologies and global challenges. Projects in STEM and medical sciences will receive priority if aligned with Korea’s 12 National Strategic Technologies. Proposals from other disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences, are welcome and will be evaluated regardless of such alignment.
• Estimated Funding: ~8 projects; up to KRW 176 million per project per year
• Funding Period: ~3 years (1+1+1, continuation subject to annual review)
• Supported Expenses (Year 1): Seed grants for joint research, researcher mobility, international workshops, and collaboration activities
• Research Fund Management: All budgeting, expenditure, and reporting follow SNU’s financial regulations and guidelines.

 

Application Process (SNU internal only)

• Application Deadline: Friday, October 31, 2025
• Submission: SNU PIs must submit all required documents to their affiliated college/school office, which will forward them to the SNU ORA
